About
Candle Wax is the smell of a wax candle rather than of any one raw material. Trade copy builds it from a beeswax-like honeyed base plus the brief acrid plume that follows a blown-out flame. It is warm and sweet first, with the smoke arriving as an edge and not as the body.
Scent Profile
Honeyed first and by a distance, warm and thickly waxy, close to beeswax absolute. A sweet_vanillic warmth sits with it, part beeswax and part the faint sweetness trade copy attributes to refined paraffin. A smoky facet cuts across the sweetness as a brief acrid edge, the blown-out wick rather than a fire. Under all of it runs a dry tobacco_hay tail carried by beeswax absolute, which one supplier describes as hay and tobacco with a spicy nuance. Softer additions are a balsamic amber_resinous body and a light floral lift from the honey side.

Origin
No manufacturer sells candle wax as a captive. It is a composed accord. Perfumery suppliers build it from beeswax absolute for the honeyed and waxy body, hay and tobacco naturals for the dry tail, and a small smoky-acrid top for the extinguished wick. Refined paraffin contributes at most a faint petroleum-derived sweetness. One trade source for paraffin describes only its ability to hold and release added fragrance oil, never a smell of its own.
Usage in Perfumery
Used as a base accord in church, chapel and domestic-interior fragrances, and in compositions that want the honeyed weight of beeswax with a hint of burnt wick. It sits under incense, myrrh and dry woods, and rounds honey and tobacco accords without adding the animalic side that honey brings. The smoky facet is used sparingly, because it reads as the moment the flame goes out rather than as continuous smoke.
