Pine Nut
Note Profile
About
Mild, buttery seed with a faint pine-resin trace
Scent Profile
Pine nut smells mild and soft, a creamy, almost milky oiliness with a gentle nutty sweetness. A faint fresh wood-resin trace sits behind it, a quiet reminder of the pine tree. It is pale and buttery rather than roasted. A slight dry, skin-like astringency shows late.

ScentArt
Origin
Pine nut is the edible seed of the stone pine and other pine species. Cold-pressed pine kernel oil is made from the seeds, but perfumery seldom uses the natural oil, and the note is mostly an accord.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it as a soft gourmand nut note, often built from synthetic materials rather than the oil. One perfume guide places it in the heart or base, where it lasts.
