About
Dynamone is a Biolandes speciality extract made from cistus concrete, so it is a labdanum material. CAS 8016-26-0. It is processed to push the amber character towards mineral, metallic and church-incense facets instead of the sweeter balsamic profile of a plain labdanum absolute.
Scent Profile
Amber_resinous leads because both sources put it there first. Biolandes gives the olfactive family as Ambery and ScenTree's classification path starts at Balsamic Ambery. Mineral is the facet that separates Dynamone from ordinary labdanum. Biolandes writes "mineral and metallic notes" and ScenTree writes "silex notes", which is flint, and both name it as the point of the material. Smoky is ScenTree's "church incense" note, which is incense smoke rather than burnt wood. Leather is held low on purpose. Biolandes only says Dynamone is good for building leather bases, which is a use, not a smell, so the value carries a spread. Dry_woody and animalic come from ScenTree's own branch labels Smoky Woods and Animalic, which arrive with no prose to say how strong they are, so both carry wide spreads too. Honeyed, earthy, sweet_vanillic, aromatic_herbal and tobacco_hay sit low with wide spreads because labdanum materials generally carry them and no source here rules them out.

Made by Biolandes from the leaf and stem of Cistus ladanifer, worked up from cistus concrete. Biolandes files it under the olfactive family Ambery. ScenTree files it under Balsamic Ambery, on the branch Ambery Cistus > Animalic > Smoky Woods.
Usage in Perfumery
Used to build leather bases in company with amber notes, and to give an oriental accord a dark, flinty edge. ScenTree describes its job as bringing out ambery and mineral notes. Biolandes says it is rarely used in cosmetics. The terpenes in the extract can polymerise on oxidation, so it needs care in storage.
