Origin
There is no tire extract and no aromachemical sold under this name. Agoratopia says the rubber note is recreated with synthetic molecules that mimic its aroma, and describes the target smell as 'new tires or rubber soles'. Brands that commit to the theme widen it into a whole automotive accord: Wicked Good's pyramid runs smoked rubber over motor oil into hot asphalt and high-octane fuel.
Usage in Perfumery
A base accord for motorsport, garage and urban themes. The trade keeps it apart from its neighbours rather than merging them, listing burnt rubber, motor oil and gasoline as separate components of one race accord. It pairs with leather, tobacco and smoky woods, and V Perfumes notes that leather plus tobacco alone already reads to many wearers as burnt tire.
