Feathers is a fantasy accord. It smells of a down pillow held to the face: dry, warm and powdery, with a faint animal-skin whisper under it. No feather extract exists. The note is built from powdery-warm materials, and it is drier and lighter than musk, civet, castoreum, fur or leather.

Entirely compounded. Cashmeran gives the textile softness, heliotropin the powdery warmth, and clean musks the intimacy. The animalic thread that separates it from a plain powder accord comes from traces of costus root or micro-doses of indole.
Usage in Perfumery
