White_floral leads on the strength of the descriptor terms this repository already holds for CAS 873888-84-7: TGSC records floral, lily, muguet, green. Two of those four terms are lily-of-the-valley. Floral, almost level with it, because the Givaudan patent classifies the material by its own hand as FLORAL without qualifying it, and because a salicylate carries a rounder, softer floral body than the aldehydic muguet materials do. Green, the fourth TGSC term, and the structural relative cis-3-hexenyl salicylate is a green-muguet material. The remaining facets are held deliberately low. Powdery is the salicylate class softness and is an inference from the class, not a claim any source makes about this molecule. Aquatic_ozonic and mineral are the cold, watery lift the published muguet notes all carry, kept far below their level here because nothing said it about this one.

Karmaflor is a Givaudan captive: (4Z)-hept-4-en-2-yl 2-hydroxybenzoate, CAS 873888-84-7, PubChem 67480810. It is an alkyl salicylate, listed as one in patent WO2016071149A1 beside amyl, ethyl, cis-3-hexenyl, hexyl, isobutyl and methyl salicylate.
Usage in Perfumery
A floral heart material. A Givaudan-assigned patent, US 2019/0218476, classifies it as FLORAL and places it in the 11-50 microgram-per-litre equilibrium headspace band alongside Nympheal, Mefrosol, jasmin lactone delta, Lilial and cinnamic alcohol. That is company for lily-of-the-valley and jasmine work, not for the heavy fruity-floral salicylates that carry suncream accords. Parfumo attests it on 4 fragrances across 3 brands, Fragrantica on 1.
