Starfleur 40
Note Profile
About
Fresh green muguet with a clean lift
Scent Profile
Starfleur 40 smells of fresh lily of the valley with a green stem and a touch of freesia. A clear, crisp aldehydic lift sits on top and keeps it clean rather than soapy. The whole is transparent and a little watery, like spring flowers after rain.

Origin
Starfleur 40 is an IFF aroma chemical, 3-(4-isobutylcyclohexyl)propanal. It is a synthetic aliphatic aldehyde on a cyclohexane ring. One supplier lists CAS 56836-93-2, but that number belongs to a different material, so the name is the identity here.
Usage in Perfumery
IFF sells it for fresh green florals, muguet, lily and freesia accords. It rounds off green aldehydic muguet notes and adds volume and body. IFF also names lemon and mandarin citrus types and watery transparent notes as uses.
