Jamarosa
Note Profile
About
Rosy grass with a citrus-mint top
Scent Profile
Jamarosa smells sweet, floral and rosy, carried on a green, grassy body. It opens with a bright citrus and minty top. A terpenic, herbal edge sits beside the rose, with a slight fruity touch. It is brighter and sharper than a soft rose oil.

Origin
Jamarosa (also spelt Jamrosa) is the essential oil of a Cymbopogon nardus hybrid grass grown in India. Makers disagree on the second parent. The oil is about 50 to 55% geraniol and 20 to 22% geranyl acetate, with small amounts of citral, citronellal and limonene.
Usage in Perfumery
Perfumers use it as a rose-type oil in the heart of a composition. It is also used across cosmetics and household products, and as a source of high-grade geraniol.
