Sweet, honeyed and heady, with a rose-like floral core and a faint hay-tea dryness behind it. Distinctly warmer and more syrupy than the white florals it otherwise resembles.

What this is made of
Origin
Distilled from the male flowers of Pandanus odorifer, the screwpine, chiefly in Odisha in eastern India. Traditionally distilled into a sandalwood base as an attar; also sold as a hydrosol used in Indian confectionery.
Usage in Perfumery
A signature note of Indian attar perfumery, where it partners rose, saffron and sandalwood. Rare in Western fine fragrance.
