About
The flower of the kiwifruit vine, Actinidia deliciosa. It is a floral note first and a fruity one second, despite the name. The source leads with 'creamy-floral, mild' and compares the florality to magnolia, keeping the kiwifruit character down to 'a hint of fruitiness'.
Scent Profile
Floral leads and is soft rather than heady, the 'creamy-floral, mild' the source names first. Green is close behind and is the second thing anyone reports: 'a distinct green freshness', grassiness, spring. White_floral is there because the source makes one direct odour comparison, 'gentle, magnolia-like florality', which points at the creamy magnolia character rather than at an indolic jasmine one. Fruity is deliberately held, a hint of ripe kiwifruit and not the fruit note itself. Below the naming line, lactonic carries the creaminess in 'creamy-floral', citrus is the 'faintly citrus-sweet' phrase that appears once and is never repeated, and a light sweet_vanillic is the sweetness the source says softens as the note wears.

Origin
No commercial extraction exists. Kiwi blossom is a reconstructed accord. The flowers open in spring, bloom for a short window, and are grown where kiwifruit is grown, mainly New Zealand and parts of China. No CAS number and no analytical volatile data were found, which is what you would expect for a flower nobody extracts.
Usage in Perfumery
A heart note. It is used to bridge floral and fruity accords, blending with jasmine and peony on one side and pear and citrus on the other. Its value is that it is airy enough not to compete with either.
