Scent Profile
Amber_resinous is the body and every source keeps it there: Eden Botanicals' 'fresh, warm, resinous, coniferous', Arctander's 'fresh balsamic, yet dry and resinous', Hermitage's 'warm liquid resin'. It sits below the published frankincense at 0.78 because two independent reviewers say this grade is the brighter, less churchy one. Citrus is the top and it is lemon, not orange: Eden gives 'a top note of lemon-orange citrus', Hermitage 'warm candied green lemons', Highet 'hints of lime, vetiver and verbena'. Green is the facet the grade is named for and three sources reach it independently - 'brighter and greener', 'slightly green odor', 'just as green and meditative as the name suggest'. Honeyed is the facet that separates this from every other frankincense in the repo and two sources name it in the same word: Hermitage's 'medley of golden honey', Highet's 'honeyed but not cloying'. Dry_woody for the 'sweet-woody, balsamic undertone' and the pine-and-vetiver austerity Highet describes. Fruity rests on Arctander's 'fruity-green top note... of unripe apples'. Sweet_vanillic for the candy texture Hermitage insists on, 'resin liquid sweet, candy gummy textured'. Fresh_spice for the pepper both Eden and Arctander report. Under the naming line: aromatic_herbal for the verbena reference, floral for Hermitage's 'resin floral nuances', sour, warm_spice, smoky and earthy. Smoky is deliberately near the floor. The parent note carries 0.20 and this grade is the one reviewers describe as the opposite of burning church resin.

Origin
Steam-distilled from the green resin grade of Boswellia sacra, tapped in Oman. Hermitage Oils describes the input as 'the ultra-prized GREEN Omani resin' and the oil it gives as 'golden yellow in colour'. The species matters and is measured. ScenTree files B. sacra from Oman and Yemen as an incensyl-acetate incense running under 40% alpha-pinene and limonene, against Boswellia papyrifera from Ethiopia and Eritrea at around 50%. Those are different species with different chemotypes, so this is not the published ethiopian-frankincense under another name. Mermade Magickal Arts, quoting the trade, records that 'Green Hougary is the most sought after of all' grades.
Usage in Perfumery
Base note. Attested on Parfumo in 13 placements across 5 brands, with no Fragrantica page. Perfumers buy this grade instead of ordinary olibanum when they want the resin without the incense-burner association. A Hermitage reviewer calls it 'the anti-church version of frankincense, not smelling much like the traditional Catholic frankincense'. It sits with citrus, pine and pepper on the bright side and with amber and soft woods underneath.
