Red spider lily is Lycoris radiata, family Amaryllidaceae, not Lilium. The flower yields no perfume oil. A 2019 GC-MS study of six Lycoris species rated L. radiata non-scented. It found no terpenoids in the flower and only a few aldehydes. One bulb seller calls its scent slight and sweet. The perfumery note is an accord built from aroma chemicals, not an extract.

Usage in Perfumery

Used as a heart floral accord, mostly in fruity-floral perfumes. Jimmy Choo I Want Choo (2020) puts it in the heart beside jasmine, over vanilla and benzoin. Brands use the name for the flower's look and its cultural weight more than for its smell. No supplier sells a standard red spider lily base, so each accord differs.
