Floral leads and the only source makes rose the subject twice, before anything else: 'Delicate rose petals folded into almond-sweet confections' and a top note of 'Fresh rose petals paired with a hint of pink sugar'. It is set below the published rose at 0.85 because the brand calls the rose delicate and luminous and then folds it into a confection, so it is a rose accord rather than the flower. Powdery runs the whole length of the note: 'Soft, powdery, and lightly gourmand' at the top of the copy and 'a smooth, powdery trail on skin' at the bottom. It is below the published macaron at 0.72 because in that note the powder is icing sugar and almond flour, and here it shares the space with rose. Sweet_vanillic is the sugar and the vanilla base, held down by the brand's own hedge: 'a whisper of sugar' and 'lightly gourmand'. That puts it well below macaron. Nutty is the almond, and the gap to macaron at 0.82 is the whole argument for this note existing. The copy confines almond to the middle note alone and carries none of it into the base, which is vanilla and white musk only. Clean_musk is that white musk. Lactonic is the cream in 'Almond cream' and nothing more. Nothing else is scored. The rose here is not called honeyed, green, spicy or fruity by the one source available, and the published rose carries honeyed, so this vector deliberately declines to import that.

Origin

Not a raw material. No supplier or manufacturer sells a rose macaron accord, because it is a composed gourmand-floral idea rather than something extracted. It is assembled from a rose accord, almond or heliotropin for the shell, sugar and vanilla for the filling, and white musk for the trail. The one product found that is actually called Rose Macaron, a perfume mist from Cremerie Beauty, builds it exactly that way.

Usage in Perfumery

A soft gourmand-floral, used where a rose needs to read as sweet and edible rather than green or metallic. It works as a heart-to-base idea: rose and pink sugar on top, almond cream in the middle, vanilla and white musk underneath. Cremerie Beauty markets it as 'a modern, romantic finish'.
