About

White sage is distilled from Salvia apiana, a shrub of the southwestern United States and Baja California. It is a different species from culinary sage or clary sage. It smells fresh, cooling and strongly camphoraceous, with a mild cineolic note like rosemary, over a thin woody base. It is austere rather than sweet.
