Alexandria Fragrances Gourmand Kiss is an Eau de Parfum. Gourmand Kiss opens with Lavender and Almond, settles into a heart of Dark Chocolate, Caramel, and Praline, and dries down to a base of Vanilla, Tonka Bean, and Benzoin. Alexandria Fragrances's Gourmand Kiss carries an Acquired verdict, a gourmand-led wear.

Gourmand Kiss goes after the discontinued Dior Feve Delicieuse's tonka-caramel gourmand, hitting the same almond-caramel-vanilla core but skipping Dior's cherry, jasmine and leather facets that gave the original its complexity.

About

Gourmand Kiss zeroes in on the tonka bean, caramel and vanilla heart that made Dior's now-discontinued Feve Delicieuse a cult favourite among gourmand fans. The opening trades Dior's lavender-mint-bergamot freshness for a simpler almond-lavender pairing, moving quickly into a caramel-cacao-praline middle that is genuinely sweet and appealing on its own terms. What it leaves out is the layering that gave the original its dessert-for-grown-ups reputation: Feve Delicieuse folds in cherry, freesia and jasmine at the heart and leather, sandalwood, cedar and coconut into the base, giving it a fruity-floral lift and a savoury edge that keeps the sweetness from turning cloying. Gourmand Kiss's tonka-vanilla-benzoin base is pleasant but flatter and more straightforwardly sugary, without that push-pull between gourmand and leather that fans of the original single out as its signature.
