Alexandria UK Vanilla Stallion is an Eau de Parfum. Vanilla Stallion opens with Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Cardamom, and Cinnamon, settles into a heart of Vanilla and Elemi, and dries down to a base of Musk, Guaiac Wood, Ambroxan, and Praline. Alexandria UK's Vanilla Stallion carries an Acquired verdict, a vanilla-led wear.

Vanilla Stallion is Alexandria UK's take on Parfums de Marly Althaïr - the same bergamot-cardamom-vanilla gourmand structure at a fraction of the price. It leans sweeter and more linear than the original's luminous, well-balanced blend, with the praline-ambroxan base pushed forward earlier.

About

Vanilla Stallion opens with a bright, spicy flash of bergamot and cardamom, softened by orange blossom and cinnamon - a fair echo of Althaïr's aromatic opening, though it arrives a touch louder and sweeter from the start. The Bourbon vanilla heart is where the resemblance is strongest, with elemi resin adding a clean, faintly citrusy lift that keeps the sweetness in check, much as it does in the original. Where the two diverge is balance: Althaïr is prized for treating its gourmand core as one element within a luminous, freshness-forward composition, while Vanilla Stallion foregrounds the vanilla and praline more insistently, arriving at its ambroxan-guaiac wood base sooner and settling into a simpler, more one-dimensional dry-down. The praline and musk finish is pleasant and warm, if less textured than the original's smoky guaiac-wood-and-ambroxan interplay. Longevity holds up reasonably well for the price point but trails Althaïr's reputation for excellent all-day performance. For fans of the bergamot-vanilla-amber gourmand style who don't need the niche price tag, this is a serviceable, sweeter-leaning alternative.
