The rose here is fresh and white rather than jammy or dark, closer to a cut stem than to a rose absolute. A leafy green base runs underneath it, which is what gives the impression of a moss rose still in the garden rather than a bottled rose note. Angela Flanders bottles this scent at two strengths.
