A bright floral accord opens the scent, moving into jasmine and fruity notes at the heart before settling on cedarwood and soft musk. Where Nishane's original builds real depth through its oriental base and resinous undertones, this dupe keeps things lighter and more linear, favouring immediate sweetness and radiance over slow development. That trade-off makes Anis an easy, crowd-pleasing wear for warm-weather days, though it won't hold the listener's interest through hours of dry-down the way the original does. At 35% extrait it has reasonable tenacity for the price point, and the jasmine-fruit combination reads joyful and youthful rather than sophisticated, which suits its budget positioning well.
