Aromara Noir Mystique is an Extrait de Parfum. Noir Mystique opens with Green and Cannabis, settles into a heart of Woody, Resin, and Tobacco, and dries down to a base of Musk, Oud, and Incense. Aromara's Noir Mystique carries an Acquired verdict, a cannabis-led wear.

Noir Mystique is Aromara's take on Nasomatto Black Afgano, the darkest cult fragrance around. It captures the green-cannabis-oud signature reasonably well, but is noticeably softer and less feral than the notoriously intense original.

About

Noir Mystique is Aromara's dupe of Nasomatto Black Afgano, opening with green notes and a cannabis accord before resins, woody notes and tobacco build a dense, smoky heart. The base of oud, incense and musk closes things out dark and unforgettable, or at least aims to. Built at 35% extrait, it leans into the same herbal, resinous darkness that made Black Afgano a niche cult favourite prized for being genuinely polarising. The real Nasomatto version is famous - and notorious - for an almost aggressive green-cannabis opening that some wearers find overwhelming and others find addictive, backed by a thick, near-narcotic oud-incense base that barely fades for a full day. Aromara's take softens that intensity considerably: the cannabis-green opening is present but tamer, and the oud-incense base is lighter and shorter-lived than the original's famously long-haul projection. For anyone curious about the Black Afgano style without committing to its full intensity (or price), Noir Mystique is an approachable way in, best worn in cooler months for casual evenings or low-key dates.
