No 28 leans fully into the same gourmand concept as Kayali's Vanilla | 28: a deep, boozy vanilla that reads like brown sugar melting in a pan rather than a simple sweet shop vanilla. The opening pairs vanilla orchid with jasmine for a touch of floral lift before brown sugar and tonka bean take over in the heart, delivering the rich, almost caramelised sweetness the original is known for. The amberwood-musk-patchouli base keeps things grounded and warm rather than sickly, echoing the original's balance between sweetness and depth. Kayali designed Vanilla | 28 as much for solo wear as for layering under other scents, and this dupe wears the same way - comforting alone, and unlikely to clash if added to another fragrance.
