Aromers Ombre Nomade is an Extrait de Parfum. Ombre Nomade opens with Cedar and Saffron, settles into a heart of Rose and Myrrh, and dries down to a base of Vetiver and Labdanum. Aromers's Ombre Nomade carries a Statement verdict, a amber-led wear.

Reworks Louis Vuitton's smoky, rose-tinged Ombre Nomade oud into a resinous saffron-myrrh blend that trades the original's raspberry-tinged smoke for straightforward sweetness.

About

Aromers' version opens with a sharp spike of saffron and atlas cedar before moving into a heart of dark myrrh and damask rose, closing on labdanum and vetiver. It captures the smoky, resinous mood that made Ombre Nomade a cult favourite, but loses the incense-and-birch smoulder and the faint fruity lift that gives the original its depth. What's left is a warmer, more straightforwardly sweet oud blend that performs well for the price but fades to a soft musk rather than the original's long smoky trail. Worth trying if you love the concept and want a cheaper way into the smoky-oud category.
