Carolina Herrera Mad World is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Sonia Constant. Mad World opens with Bergamot and Lemon, settles into a heart of Lapsang Souchong Tea and Osmanthus, and dries down to a base of Akigalawood. Carolina Herrera's Mad World carries a Statement verdict, a citrus-led wear.

Seriously, just don't bother. This one's an expensive, bitter mess with no staying power, earning it a hard pass from nearly everyone. You'd be mad to splash out on this. No wonder it gets sent out as a free sample.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Summer
Also Works:
Spring

A warm-weather pick - at its best in summer and spring.

Best Occasions

Also Works:
Office Sport

Its sharp, albeit fleeting, freshness makes it borderline acceptable for a quick sport scent, but its lacklustre performance and general poor reception limit its utility elsewhere. The bitter citrus and tea notes aren't suited for romantic or formal settings, and its 'standard' nature offers little for casual wear.

About

Opening with a sharp, almost abrasive hit of bergamot and lemon, this fragrance quickly descends into a dry, somewhat bitter tea note from the lapsang souchong, interwoven with a hint of osmanthus. The citrus remains stubbornly present, eventually settling onto a faint, woody base of akigalawood. Imagine a very tart lemon, a cup of strong black tea brewed too long, and not much else.
