Choix Reve D'or is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2018, created by Luca Gritti. Reve D'or opens with Passionfruit and Rum, settles into a heart of Amber, Rosewood, and Orris, and dries down to a base of Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Ambergris. Choix's Reve D'or carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

A genuinely divisive scent. Community reviews split sharply: some call it an underestimated gem with nothing else like it on the market, while others find the ambergris-driven opening off-putting and hard to wear. A 3.6-rated wildcard worth sampling before you commit.

About

An opening blast of synthetic 'passionfruit' and a chemical-laced 'rum' note immediately assaults the senses. It promises a journey into exotic territories but delivers only confusion. As it 'dries down', a cloying sweetness emerges from a vague caramel and vanilla, attempting to mask an unsettling, unidentifiable undertone that lingers stubbornly, like burnt plastic. Amber and iris try in vain to add some depth, but everything is drowned in a noxious, off-putting foundation.
