Connock Kukui Noir is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2020. Kukui Noir opens with Amber, Rose, and Jasmine, settles into a heart of Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Patchouli, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Oud. Connock's Kukui Noir carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Kukui Noir layers rose, jasmine and amber over a warm base of black amber, oud and cashmere musk. Wearers describe a complex, intense scent that changes during wear, though one reviewer found it too masculine.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter

The warm amber, black amber and oud base support cooler-season wear, with autumn the closest secondary fit. Reviewers do not compare seasons directly, so this is a composition-based fit rather than seasonal consensus.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal
Also Works:
Casual

The rich, intense profile and compliment reports support formal or evening wear; the evidence does not show measured projection or a consistent office fit. Casual use remains plausible, while sport is the weakest match.

About

Kukui Noir is an amber floral built around rose, jasmine and a warm woody base. Connock lists rose, jasmine and amber in the opening, followed by sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver, then black amber, oud wood and cashmere musks. The official description positions the darker materials as the depth beneath the floral opening. In the catalogue, Oud Wood resolves to Oud. The current ScentPrism aliases resolve Black Amber to Amber and Cashmere Musk to Musk. The wearer evidence is small and mostly hosted by Connock. One customer says they have worn Kukui Noir since launch and receive compliments. Another describes an unusual first impression that changed during wear, becoming warm and intense, with compliments. A third reviewer disliked the strongly masculine impression and gave the bottle away. These accounts support a complex, warm and noticeable profile, but they do not establish a universal gender reading or measured projection. The evidence does not give reliable wear-time hours or projection distance. Longevity and projection therefore remain moderate rather than being inferred from compliments. The warm amber and oud structure suggests cooler-season and formal use, but those are composition-based fits, not a consensus from seasonal wear reports. The current official 100ml page lists £95 and is sold out; the 15ml and 30ml collection prices do not establish a 50ml RRP. The existing Mid price tier is left unchanged. The official title confirms Eau de Parfum. No new perfumer credit is added.
