Vanilla & Coco is one of the vanilla-led entries in Coup de Coeur's 200ml Brume Parfumee Vanillee line, and it does exactly what the name promises. Coconut leads, and it is the creamy, milky sort rather than the sharp green kind, so the opening reads as suntan lotion and coconut macaroon rather than fresh fruit. Vanilla and orchid form the heart, softening the coconut into something rounder and slightly floral, and the base pairs sandalwood with praline for a nutty, faintly toasted finish that keeps it from being pure dessert. As a body mist it wears the way body mists do: it sits close to the skin, gives a quiet halo rather than a trail, and is generally gone within an hour or two. That is not a criticism of the composition so much as the format, and Coup de Coeur are honest about it, describing the range as ultra-light. Use it as a refresher after a shower or at your desk, or spray it under a heavier vanilla scent to give that fragrance a softer, creamier lead-in. It suits warm weather and holidays best, is easy in an office because it barely projects, and at under a tenner for 200ml there is no reason to be precious with it.
