Divain Angel is an Eau de Parfum. Angel opens with Bergamot, Melon, Pineapple, and Coconut, settles into a heart of Red Berries, Jasmine, Orchid, and Nutmeg, and dries down to a base of Chocolate, Sandalwood, Patchouli, and Vanilla. Divain's Angel carries an Acquired verdict, a gourmand-led wear.

Divain's Angel channels Mugler Angel's iconic cotton candy-patchouli-chocolate contrast fairly closely, though the sweetness reads a touch harsher and less rounded than the trailblazing original.

About

Divain's Angel opens with bergamot, melon, coconut and a candyfloss-pineapple sparkle before a honey, red berry and orchid heart takes over, following the same fairground-sweet arc that made the original Thierry Mugler Angel a genre-defining release. The base leans hard on chocolate, caramel, vanilla and patchouli, echoing the earthy-gourmand contrast the original is famous for. Testers who know Angel well describe the two as very close on first impression, with the finesse of the real fragrance only becoming apparent after a couple of days of wear, when the dupe's sweetness comes across as slightly harsher and less rounded than the original's carefully balanced patchouli anchor.
