Duppe Scents Leather Late Than Never is an Eau de Parfum. Leather Late Than Never opens with Violet Leaf and Cardamom, settles into a heart of Jasmine and Orris, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Tobacco. Duppe Scents's Leather Late Than Never carries a Statement verdict, a leather-led wear.

Leather Late Than Never gets the cardamom-and-suede opening of Ombre Leather close enough to recognise, but the jasmine sambac heart and tobacco base come through thinner, so the original's polished, long-wearing leather depth is not fully there.

About

Leather Late Than Never opens with cardamom and violet leaf, a reasonable echo of the spiced, slightly green start that leads into Tom Ford's Ombre Leather. The leather accord itself is the strongest element here, coming through clearly and staying present throughout the wear. What is missing is the jasmine sambac and orris that give the original its polished, almost floral-leather refinement, and the tobacco-amber base is lighter too, so the smoky, expensive-smelling depth that makes Ombre Leather so mass-appealing does not fully carry through. This dupe is best thought of as a solid, wearable leather fragrance in its own right, good for cold-weather evenings or layering under a coat, rather than a precise stand-in for the original's more considered, long-wearing composition.
