Eden Perfumes No.181 Hue Go │ is an Eau de Parfum. No.181 Hue Go │ opens with Apple and Mint, settles into a heart of Oakmoss and Lavender, and dries down to a base of Canadian Fir Balsam and Cedar. Eden Perfumes's No.181 Hue Go │ carries an Acquired verdict, a green-led wear.

Eden's No.181 recreates Hugo Boss Hugo's crisp green-apple-and-oakmoss fougère structure with fresh mint and fir standing in for some of the original's grassier facets - a solid, cheaper way into a scent that basically invented the modern green-aftershave category.

About

Hugo Boss Hugo has stayed a men's fragrance staple since the mid-90s largely on the strength of its green apple opening and mossy, slightly bitter base - a combination that felt genuinely different at launch and still reads as crisp and sporty today. Eden's No.181 leans into that same green-apple-forward opening, adding a burst of mint that pushes the freshness even further before lavender and oakmoss bring the fougère backbone through in the heart. Cedar and a resinous fir note round out the base in place of the original's more herbal, olive-tree facet, giving a slightly warmer, woodier finish than the true Hugo drydown. It won't fool anyone who knows the designer scent intimately, but the family resemblance is clear and convincing enough for casual wear - gym bag, weekend errands, anywhere you want something clean and green without worrying about a design a designer aftershave's price tag. Reapply after a few hours as the green top notes fade quickly.
