About

Le Grand opens on a green, slightly peppery geranium note, which gives the first impression a touch more edge than a typical soft floral opener. Jasmine takes over the heart, bringing an indolic, heady floral richness that is the clear centrepiece of the fragrance. The base of amber and white musk wraps it all in a warm, clean-sweet finish that softens the jasmine's intensity as the scent wears down. It's a fairly linear composition - geranium fades quickly, leaving jasmine and musk to carry most of the wear time - and while it doesn't attempt much nuance, the jasmine-musk pairing is pleasant and long-wearing enough for evening use.
