Zzyzx RD is a unisex Extrait from Happyland, sold in 30 ml and 50 ml sprays. Iris leads, dry and sandy, with powdery lavender beside it. Suede and earthy woods give it a worn-leather edge. Ambergris and labdanum add a warm, resinous frame, and amberwood, cedar and sandalwood run underneath. There is no neat top-to-base story here: the notes arrive together and settle into a smooth, powdery, slightly rough iris with a leathery heart. Projection and longevity are both strong, so apply with a light hand. It wears for ten hours or more, with a close, long drydown. A good pick for people who like iris dry rather than sweet, and who want something with a rough, suede-like texture.
