About

Paisley Dreams is a perfume extrait from Happyland in 30 ml and 50 ml sprays, described as unisex and separate from the brand's Paisley Sky. It is a sweet floral with honey at its centre. The start is bright and aromatic: ylang-ylang, bergamot and anise, with a sharp, candied sweetness at first. Heliotrope, cashmeran, rose, hedione and rosemary form a powdery floral heart that feels like a cloud of face powder. Then the base turns plush and resinous, with myrrh, vanilla, sandalwood, amber, honey and musk. Incense and honey carry into the drydown, smoky and balsamic, so it darkens from pale petals to a warm, glowing skin scent. Staying power is strong, while reach and strength are moderate. The opening is not equally smooth for everyone, as the first candied hit can be sharp, but the wear that follows is long and soft. It works through the year with a slight lean to cooler evenings. It will suit anyone who likes their flowers sweet, powdery, rich and a little smoky.
