About

Creed's Aventus for Her built its reputation on a crisp, dry apple opening bolstered by pink pepper and bergamot, softening into powdery rose and violet before settling into a warm amber-sandalwood drydown with a hint of banana and spice. Inspired By Aventus For Her gets the tart green apple and peppery sparkle right out of the gate, and the rose-sandalwood heart is a fair echo of the original's soft floral turn. Where it falls short is staying power: without an alcohol carrier to help the top notes project, the fruity opening burns through faster and the amber-peach-cassis base reads thinner and sweeter than Creed's more restrained finish. It is an easy, wearable fruity floral for the price, just don't expect the six-to-eight-hour presence the designer version is known for.
