Inspired Perfumes' 016 is built around the same dry, sophisticated leather accord that defines Tom Ford's Ombre Leather 16, backed by violet leaf, oak moss, patchouli, jasmine sambac and cardamom rather than any single loud note. Both versions favour a smooth, ombre-style leather over a harsh or animalic one, and this dupe captures that polished dryness reasonably well at first application. Where Tom Ford's original pulls the supporting notes together into a genuinely rich, long-lasting leather with real depth and a slow, spice-tinged development, this oil dupe reads flatter almost immediately, with the oak moss and patchouli barely registering beneath the leather and cardamom. Longevity is the biggest gap: the Tom Ford lasts well into the evening for most wearers, while this becomes a close skin scent within a few hours.
