Jubilee Scents CD310 Eau Sauvage is an Eau de Parfum. CD310 Eau Sauvage opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Petitgrain, settles into a heart of Vetiver, Lavender, and Hedione, and dries down to a base of Patchouli, Oakmoss, and Myrrh. Jubilee Scents's CD310 Eau Sauvage carries a Statement verdict, a citrus-led wear.

CD310 catches the sparkling citrus-hedione freshness of Eau Sauvage Parfum's opening well, but the myrrh-patchouli base is noticeably lighter, losing the depth this 2012 version added over the classic 1966 cologne.

About

Dior's Eau Sauvage Parfum, released in 2012, takes the classic 1966 Eau Sauvage's radiant citrus-hedione formula and grounds it with a deeper myrrh, patchouli and oakmoss base for more warmth and longevity than the original cologne. CD310 follows the same structure: bergamot, lemon and petitgrain up top, vetiver, lavender and hedione in the heart, myrrh, patchouli and oakmoss underneath. The bergamot-hedione opening is bright and recognisable, giving a fair impression of that sparkling citrus-aromatic freshness Eau Sauvage is known for. The added depth that distinguishes this Parfum edition from the classic EDT is where the dupe falls short, its base thinning into a lighter woody-mossy finish rather than the warmer, myrrh-rich drydown of the real Parfum. A clean, wearable citrus for daytime, if lighter on staying power than the edition it's named for.
