Jubilee Scents GA187 Acqua di Gio is an Eau de Parfum. GA187 Acqua di Gio opens with Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, and Mandarin, settles into a heart of Hyacinth, Cyclamen, Mignonette, and Sea Water, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, Cedar, and Patchouli. Jubilee Scents's GA187 Acqua di Gio carries a Statement verdict, a marine-led wear.

Acqua di Gio basically invented the modern marine-aquatic genre, and GA187 keeps the calone-driven sea-water accord front and centre - the dupe's citrus opening is a little brighter and less blended than Armani's original.

About

GA187 opens with a full citrus spread - lime, lemon, bergamot, orange, mandarin and neroli - before the fragrance moves into the calone-rich sea-water accord that made the original Acqua di Gio the defining aquatic fragrance of the 1990s. Freesia, hyacinth, rosemary, cyclamen, violet, coriander, nutmeg, rose and mignonette add a busy, green-floral texture to the heart, closely following the original's famously complex pyramid, though the dupe's citrus notes come through brighter and slightly less rounded than Armani's more polished blend. The base of white musk, cedar, oakmoss, patchouli and amber gives a clean, woody-marine finish, if a touch thinner than the celebrated original's long-lasting drydown. Performance leans moderate rather than the all-day power some vintage formulations of Acqua di Gio are known for. Still, this is a faithful, wearable take on one of the most influential men's fragrances ever released, and works especially well as a warm-weather daily scent.
