Kintsugi Perfumes Hanzo is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Martin Švach. Hanzo opens with Yuzu, Cypress, Pine, and Litchi, settles into a heart of Mastic, Ylang-Ylang, Osmanthus, and Frankincense, and dries down to a base of Fir, Cedar, Vetiver, and Oakmoss. Kintsugi Perfumes's Hanzo carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Hanzo is a cool, green and resinous scent that smells like a damp conifer forest by the sea. Cypress, pine and yuzu give it bite, while frankincense and oakmoss keep it serious. A distinctive Eau de Parfum for people who find ordinary woody scents dull.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Declarable allergens

We derive these from the materials behind this fragrance's notes, not from the bottle. Each one is likely, not confirmed. The list is partial - the box can name others.

About

Hanzo opens sharp and green, with cypress, pine and yuzu giving a cold, crisp feel, while litchi adds a faint juicy edge. The heart is the unusual part: seaweed brings a salty, marine note, set against ylang-ylang and osmanthus for a touch of softness, with frankincense and mastic adding a resinous, smoky depth. The base settles into vetiver, cedar, oakmoss and fir, earthy and dry and distinctly forest-like. Overall it is a cool woody green scent with a salty twist. It feels outdoorsy, grounded and a little mysterious.
