Luxe Fragrances Mood is an Eau de Parfum. Mood opens with Spicy, Rose, and Saffron, settles into a heart of Leather, Oud, and Patchouli, and dries down to a base of Musk, Amber, and Sandalwood. Luxe Fragrances's Mood carries an Acquired verdict, a oud-led wear.

Luxe Fragrances' Mood echoes Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood - saffron and rose into an oud-patchouli-leather heart, closing on amber and sandalwood. Captures the rose-oud pairing but without the original's polished, satin-smooth finish.

About

Mood is Luxe Fragrances' interpretation of Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood (2015), the rose-oud composition widely regarded as one of the most refined and accessible oud fragrances in niche perfumery. The pyramid captures the essentials: saffron, rose and spices open with a warm, slightly sweet lift, oud, patchouli and leather build a rich, resinous heart, and amber, sandalwood and musk close on a soft, woody-sweet base. The rose-oud pairing at the centre of this dupe is a reasonable echo of the original's signature combination. Where the gap is most noticeable is texture and polish - MFK's real strength with Oud Satin Mood was making oud feel genuinely 'satin', smooth and non-aggressive rather than raw or animalic, an effect built from exceptionally refined materials and blending. This budget version's oud-leather heart reads rougher and less integrated by comparison, and the celebrated ten-plus hour longevity is scaled down considerably. Still a worthwhile, affordable route into the rose-oud family for evening and formal wear.
