Poudrextase is a bold and provocative take on modern animalics. It opens with an unmistakable accord of civet, intensely animalic and almost shockingly real, quickly softened by a cloud of delicate rice powder. This duality creates a 'clean dirty' tension: the warmth of lived-in skin and musky undertones are beautifully contrasted by a sophisticated, cosmetic powderiness and the fresh, green snap of cypress. As it settles, a creamy tonka bean emerges, adding a subtle sweetness that rounds out the composition, making it surprisingly wearable for many.
