Nosu Hides is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2025, created by Jacob Grainger. Hides opens with Animalic, Violet Leaf, Osmanthus, and Raspberry Leaf, settles into a heart of Woody Notes, Fur, and Mango Tree, and dries down to a base of Musk, Patchouli, and Moss. Nosu's Hides carries a Statement verdict, a green-led wear.

A green, animalic scent of violet leaf, fur, moss and musk, written as watching wild animals from a wooden shack. Bold and divisive, with a dense autumn and winter feel; some find it a beast, others very tame.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Autumn Winter
Also Works:
Spring

Autumn and winter lead the few votes, with spring close behind for the green, leafy opening. Summer takes no votes: moss, fur and musk are too dense for heat.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date
Also Works:
Casual

Night votes lead over day, and the bold animalic character suits evenings out better than the office. A wearer who finds it tame can wear it by day; others advise one light spray.

About

Hides imagines watching wild animals from the safety of a wooden shack. It is curious, untamed and, as the maker puts it, not for the faint of heart. The scent opens on forest undergrowth, moss and crushed leaves, and the idea is to sense wildlife moving through the trees without ever seeing it. Violet leaf and an animalic accord lead, sharp and green, with osmanthus and raspberry leaf behind them. The heart is damp fur, mango leaf and the dry, musty wood of the shack itself. The base is moss, patchouli and musk, which many wearers enjoy most. Reports differ on how wild it is. Some describe a primal, overpowering beast; others a green, soft scent with only a little fur in the background that is very tame for something called untamed. Performance reports are few. Wear is moderate to long, projection moderate, and wearers advise a light hand. It belongs to autumn and winter evenings far more than to summer, and most voters like or love it while a few dislike it strongly. The brand sells the 50 ml bottle at 130 pounds, or 149 with its abstract lid, and handmakes each batch in North London. It suits wearers who like green, mossy, animalic scents and enjoy a perfume with a story.
