Oakcha Opia is an Extrait de Parfum. Opia opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Lemon Verbena, settles into a heart of Rose, Jasmine, Geranium, and Ylang-Ylang, and dries down to a base of Rhubarb, Musk, Cedar, and Sandalwood. Oakcha's Opia carries an Acquired verdict, a fresh-led wear.

A rounded floral oud: rose and jasmine over aoud, sandalwood and leather, with vanilla and musk smoothing the finish. Oakcha's take on Roja Aoud, for anyone who likes oud softened by flowers.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Opia is a floral oud with an unusually long list of base notes. It opens bright and green, with bergamot and lemon sharpened by verbena. The lift lasts just long enough to set up what follows. The heart is a bouquet of rose, jasmine, ylang ylang and geranium. Rose leads, jasmine adds a creamy, slightly heady glow, and geranium gives a green edge that stops the flowers turning sweet. The dry-down is where the work is. Aoud sits at the centre, wrapped in sandalwood, cedarwood and patchouli, while leather, ambergris, musk and vanilla smooth the edges. Cinnamon, nutmeg and saffron add dry warmth, and rhubarb brings a faint tart note. At 30 to 40 percent oil it wears close but long, and it rewards a light hand. It suits cooler months and evenings, and people who prefer their oud softened by flowers rather than left raw. Oakcha no longer sells Opia (its page has been removed from oakcha.com), and this page records it for owners. Bottom line: a rounded rose and oud with leather and vanilla in the background.
