About

Ikat Rouge is rose done in a deep red. Saffron opens alone, sharp and golden, and the rose heart joins with musk to make something both floral and warm. The base is where the weight is. Oud and labdanum give a dark, resinous, slightly animalic depth, patchouli adds earth and vanilla rounds the edges with sweetness. Ambergris gives the finish a salty, glowing quality, and the whole is smoother and less harsh than the oud suggests. Staying power is excellent and the presence is moderate, so it can sit in an office and still feel rich. It is a scent for autumn and winter, for dinners and nights out, and it is not for sport.
