More Than The Stars

More Than The Stars is a roll-on from Olivine Atelier's Classic range, offered as a crystal 15 ml bottle and a crystal-free 5 ml pocket roller. Julie Wray is credited as perfumer. The almond is the first thing you meet and the shortest. It is recognisable and edible, creamy or powdery depending on the skin, and it fades quickly. Behind it, gardenia and Stargazer lily open into a thick white floral that is sweet and slightly salty. The base is warm and soft: Egyptian musk, vanilla, sandalwood and vetiver, with the vetiver adding a thin, dry line through the sweetness. Some noses pick out almond and white flowers; others find the musk or gardenia stronger, so the balance changes from skin to skin. It is a subtle scent. Projection stays restrained, and wear holds for a decent few hours. It comes across as romantic, sensual and gentle rather than showy. Take it for cool days and evenings, or whenever you want a creamy, powdery floral with a nutty start.
