About

Full Regalia is part of Olivine Atelier's Classic range, a perfume oil sold as a 15 ml roll-on with carnelian and a 5 ml travel roller. It is the oil version of the house's Eau de Parfum of the same name. Blackberry leads, dark and a little suede-like rather than sugary, and jasmine joins it early. Moroccan red rose sits at the centre, so the fruit never reads as a simple preserve; there is a proper floral bouquet around it, rose-led and warm. As it dries, sweet vanilla and patchouli take over. The vanilla is creamy, the patchouli adds a dry, earthy shadow, and musk keeps the finish soft and close to the skin. The woody vanilla trail is the part that lingers. As an oil it wears close, with soft projection, and holds for several hours at a middle level of intensity. It is warm, elegant and a little sultry, and it suits people who like their florals dark and sweet. Beside other blackberry and rose perfumes it is the plusher, more evening-minded choice.
