Orto Parisi Megamare is a Parfum launched in 2019, created by Alessandro Gualtieri. Megamare is the sea turned up to full volume. Bergamot and lemon open it with a flash of light, and within moments the heart arrives: seaweed, calone and hedione, briny, wet and mineral. There is nothing delicate about it. The base is a dense mix of musk, ambroxan and cedar that keeps the salty, marine character going for hours. It is as strong as a perfume gets, in both wear and trail, so one spray is plenty and a second is a mistake. That makes it unsuitable for offices and close company, and it is better kept for outdoor days, beaches and confident evenings with space around you. Fans of big, dark marine scents will find it thrilling, and anyone else will find it a lot.
