Orto Parisi Bergamask is a Parfum launched in 2014, created by Alessandro Gualtieri. Bergamask opens with Bergamot and Lemon, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Lavender, and Lily Of The Valley, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, and Tonka Bean. Orto Parisi's Bergamask carries an Acquired verdict, a citrus-led wear.

Bergamask is a nuclear citrus and musk bomb that ignites fierce debate. It's either an addictive, masterful blend of clean sweat and sharp bergamot, or a synthetic headache-inducing scrubber that never quits. This isn't for the faint of heart, or those sensitive to powerful musks.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Spring Summer
Also Works:
Fall

A warm-weather pick - at its best in summer and spring.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Casual
Also Works:
Sport

Given its 'nuclear' projection and longevity, Bergamask is too much for an office setting, but perfect for making a bold statement on a date or for casual wear. The clean-but-dirty musk and citrus profile makes it surprisingly versatile for hot weather and active settings, yet its sheer power might overwhelm formal events.

About

This is a riotous blast of bergamot and lemon up front, bright and almost photorealistic, like peeling an orange or lemon cake. As it settles, a clean, slightly powdery lavender and lily of the valley emerge, but the true star of the show is the muscular, animalic musk in the base. It gives a raw, sensual edge, complemented by a subtle cedar and tonka bean warmth that lingers for hours, often picking up a 'clean human sweat' or even a 'lemon cleaner' quality depending on who you ask.
