Pearl Fragrances Marj Attar is a perfume oil. Marj Attar opens with Oud, Pink Pepper, and Honey, settles into a heart of Jasmine, Cinnamon, and Saffron, and dries down to a base of Musk, Leather, and Amber. Pearl Fragrances's Marj Attar carries an Acquired verdict, an amber-led wear.

Marj is a genuine Ahmed Al Maghribi release, not a traditional folk attar, built on oud, honey and saffron. Pearl Fragrances' oil resolution is offered with real but not full confidence - the honeyed oud-amber character comes through, though the layered spice-and-leather base is thinner.

About

Marj Attar takes its name and general direction from Ahmed Al Maghribi's Marj, a commercial oud-oriental release rather than an anonymous traditional attar, built around a honeyed oud opening and a densely spiced, leathery base. This oil captures the honey-oud pairing at the top reasonably well, with a warm, resinous sweetness that arrives early and holds through much of the wear. Saffron and cinnamon add a spiced middle note that echoes the original's cashmere-wood-and-saffron heart, though the jasmine and orange blossom that add floral lift to the real Marj barely register here. The amber-leather base is where the resemblance is clearest, delivering a warm, slightly smoky depth, even if it lacks the raspberry, oakmoss and violet facets that give the original its unusual complexity. Performance stays modest and close to the skin, fading to a soft amber-musk trail after a couple of hours. Given how little independent community discussion of this specific pairing exists, treat the identification as a reasonable but not certain match rather than a confirmed one.
