About

Black Orchid Edp is a clone of Tom Ford's dark floral, and it follows the same shape. The top is strange and rich: truffle, ylang-ylang, blackcurrant and a flash of citrus. The truffle gives it an earthy, almost savoury darkness, and the ylang-ylang adds a creamy floral sweetness. Orchid and lotus wood hold the heart, smooth and slightly waxy. Underneath, patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood form a dry, woody base, with cacao adding a bittersweet chocolate depth. Longevity is very strong and projection is strong, so it lingers for a full day and announces itself. It is firmly an evening and cold-weather scent, and anyone who knows the original will recognise the dark, truffled mood.
