Devoted Essence opens with a vibrant, clean burst of lemon before its unexpected heart arrives - a rich, aromatic coffee, the daring lemon-coffee pairing that defines Dolce & Gabbana's Devotion Pour Homme (2025). The base is all earthy patchouli, dense and grounding, giving that old-school citrus-patchouli aftershave vibe. Perfume Parlour's interpretation captures the original's unapologetic, divisive lemon-coffee-patchouli character convincingly, but it reads a fraction flatter, the coffee thinner and less roasted and the patchouli a touch rougher than the designer original. The original itself is notably weak on performance - projecting for under an hour and lasting only 3-4 hours - and here longevity is similarly modest with close projection. The effect stays bold and characterful - a daring citrus-coffee-woody scent for autumn, winter and cool spring, worn casually, at the office, day to day or on dates.
