About

Domenico is Perfume Parlour's affordable interpretation of Xerjoff's MV Agusta. It sits in a leathery, amber-tinged space but handles it with a very light hand. Bergamot and clove open, and the clove is the interesting one. It gives the citrus a small, warm kick, a hint of old spice jar before the brightness takes over. The heart is iris, ylang-ylang and incense. Iris is smooth and powdery, ylang-ylang adds a creamy floral curve and incense lends a faint smoky dryness. The drydown is leather, musk, labdanum and tonka bean. The leather is soft and supple, labdanum adds a resinous amber warmth and the tonka rounds it into something sweet and comfortable. Nothing here is harsh. It is a gentle scent. Lasting power and projection are both light, so it stays close and is easy to live with. Spring and summer suit it, for the office and casual days, and it is subtle enough to get away with at a smart event.
