Energetic II opens on a burst of sweet raspberry threaded with sparkling citrus, a lemon-cake brightness that quickly turns gourmand. Perfume Parlour's interpretation trades the original's electric violet glow for a more straightforward berry-vanilla sweetness, so it loses some of the Guerlain's cheeky character and complexity, and the drydown sits closer to the skin sooner.
